10 Days 'til Block'd

Today marks the 10 days 'til Block'd is released, and with that we will be starting our 10 days of Block'd information. So without any more waiting, here we go.

 

Block'd is a challenging puzzle game by Symbiotic Studios, and it is coming soon to an iPhone or iPod near you!

As a truly unique puzzle game, Block'd draws inspiration from some of the iOS greats (such as KAME) to create a new challenge. With each new level you are presented a new challenge. Some challenges require careful organization and planning, while others require precise timing and multiple split second moves. Whatever the challenge, Block'd makes sure it will require thinking.

Easy to learn, but difficult to master, Block'd is sure to present even the most accomplished puzzle masters with enough challenge to keep them coming back for more.

That's not all, though. While Block'd may only be launching with 30 levels, we are hard at work creating more for our wonderful players. Each new group of levels we bring will add new dimensions of difficulty.

Day 9 - The Inspiration

Update

It's been a while since I've done an update, but that's because we've been in such a crunch mode trying to meet our deadline. I thought I'd hop in here and let y'all know what we've been up to.

Block'd is nearing total completion (for now) and we're just adding the last features such as Facebook and Twitter sharing, as well as removing the last of the placeholder art, and getting all the levels situated in what seems like the proper place for them difficulty wise. 

If you've been keeping up with us, you can see that we have a few teasers up and going for Block'd, giving you just a small taste of what this game is going to be about, as well as our expected release date. Keep on watching to see if we get anymore of those up.

Another fun thing we have planned for you is that tomorrow we are going to start a blog series called 10 Days of Block'd, in the 10 days leading up to launch, we are going to fill you in on some of the development process of Block'd and give you an even bigger taste of what the game is going to look like when it is finalized.  So make sure you check back for that!

Weekly Update, May 25

Wow, it's already time to do another one of these? Let's see what we have for you this week.

In the programming department, things are moving along as we pick away at our to do list for Block'd. Working out some kinks, and getting things just the way we want them. Some exciting news is that we have a video planned for you guys soon, give you a peak at what we've been working on.

In the blogging department, a few posts have popped up. I'll share them with you now.

    • Austin looks a bit further into some of the rumors surrounding the impending iPhone 6. Specifically regarding the screen size and how it may effect us as developers.

    • Austin thinks about how he spends his time, and challenges himself to use it more productively.
  • The Internet at 11:37 PM -- May 25, 2014
    • Austin comments on an interesting image he found relating to difficulty gating in gaming.
